BIO

Thanks for taking a minute of your time to learn a little about me! I was born and raised in Michigan, specifically in the bustling metropolis that is Adrian, MI. Growing up I loved the outdoors and playing sports, but even at a young age I found myself fascinated by the things a computer could do. By the time I reached college at Grand Valley State University, I knew that was the subject I wanted to pursue for my education.

After graduating I worked for a large telecommunications company, utilizing many of the skills I had learned in school. While I enjoyed the work, after a few years I began to seek a new challenge, and I joined the U.S. Army in 2013, serving Uncle Sam as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. This was a new kind of challenge for me, and for three years I jumped out of airplanes, rode around in Blackhawks, and was pushed physically and mentally further than I had ever been before. I believe the values learned and character gained in the Army are some of the most valuable things I have learned in my life.

After my enlistment, I moved back to Michigan, married the girl of my dreams, and started attending grad school at UM Dearborn. With some free time in my life again (you don't really get a lot of free time in the Army!), I have been able to pursue my hobbies of running, hiking, camping, working on coding and development projects, and playing the occasional video game. I currently have about a year left to finish up my master's degree, and also work full time for LSA's IT department in Ann Arbor. I am enjoying life, and looking forward to the next challenge!
